Our SR SERIES is used in processors, memory modules, high-current ASICS, FPGA, and other high-current multiphase voltage regulators. In multi-voltage regulators, the current is divided into parallel paths and the operation (on/off) of each path is staggered, so the ripple current coupled at the output is much smaller than that of each individual path. This ripple cancellation allows very small inductance values (50nH to 300nH) to be used in each path. This means that the power supply is able to respond to load changes (over-response) much faster than a single-phase implementation.
